Denied SSDI Claim

Beaverton Social Security Disability Insurance Appeals Lawyer

The initial denial you will likely receive on your request for Social Security Disability (SSD) benefits is not the final word. While discouraging, the complex and often frustrating process requires a certain amount of patience and also an awareness of how things work with the Social Security Administration (SSA).

At Helzer Cromar & Schneider, we remain at the side of our disabled clients seeking Social Security Disability or Supplemental Security Income (SSI). You have many options beyond that first and any subsequent denials.

For help with the reconsideration stage of the Social Security Disability application process, contact us at 503-608-7851 or toll free at 866-930-2812.

The reconsideration stage following a denial involves a resubmission of the application for review by an SSA representative. While it is not the same medical and vocational examiners reviewing your Request for Reconsideration that reviewed your claim at the initial level, the chances are good that the resubmitted documents will not result in an approved claim. Again, the process does not end there as we move forward with a hearing.

An unfavorable decision by an Administrative Law Judge received after a hearing is not final. It is important to know that there are still appeals available to obtain a favorable outcome for disability benefits. The claim can be appealed to the Appeal's Council and even to the United States District Court.

There is no substitute for experience in applying for and appealing an adverse decision on your Social Security Disability application. We are dedicated to our clients and remain at their side throughout the entire process. The physical and emotional pain you may be suffering is only made worse by the stress of the process. We handle all legal aspects while you continue to face the challenges that life has presented you.
